HGV Municipal Mechanic / Technician / Fitter

Euro Municipal Ltd is a market leader in the hire, sales, and maintenance of Refuse Collection Vehicles and associated equipment. Operating from our depot in North Scarle (Lincolnshire), we supply vehicles across the UK. Due to our continued success and expansion, we are offering an exciting opportunity for a HGV Technician / Mechanic to join our team.

This role primarily involves working on Municipal vehicles, including preparing vehicles for hire/sale, routine inspections, servicing, pre-MOT preparation, roadside assistance, and general maintenance. Our fleet mainly consists of Dennis, Mercedes, and DAF municipal vehicles. Knowledge of hydraulics and auto electrical systems is preferred but not essential.

This is a full-time position with fixed hours and regular overtime available.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Carry out safety inspections, servicing, and repair defects
• Prepare, present, and accompany vehicles for MOT inspections
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs as required
• Complete inspection paperwork
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Liaise with the office to order parts
• Follow Health & Safety policies and guidance

Skills and Qualifications:

• High attention to detail
• Experienced HGV Technician
• Knowledge of Refuse Collection Vehicles or similar equipment is desirable
• Welding, hydraulic, and auto electrical skills are desirable
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to work safely and unsupervised
• IRTEC qualification is beneficial
• HGV Category C driving license is highly desirable
