Job Introduction

Due to continuing growth, we are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join Listers Mercedes Benz Lincoln. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm, with 1 hour for lunch, and Saturdays on a rota basis (1 in 4), 8am - 2pm.

Our packages and pay plans are industry-leading and reflect each applicant's experience and skillset.

Basic salary ranges from: £31,290 - £39,634

Bonus / OTE ranges from: £39,690 - £48,690

Role And Responsibilities

• Servicing, repair, and diagnostics of all vehicles, ensuring work is done to the highest standard first time.
• Electrical and mechanical repairs, including suspension, steering, brakes, wheel bearings, driveshafts, exhausts, and air conditioning servicing.
• Additional responsibilities include repairs on EV and Hybrid vehicles, using electronic diagnostic equipment, focusing on batteries, drive motors, and control systems.
• Fitting manufacturer accessories and audio equipment.
• Understanding Customer Satisfaction and its impact on the business.
• Training to operate systems like video reporting (e.g., CitNOW).
• Completing all service paperwork to manufacturer standards.
• Collaborating with the workshop team to share knowledge and learn.

About You

• Candidates from all backgrounds with experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester, or Apprentice Vehicle Technician are welcome.
• Experience in independent garages, fast fit centres, car supermarkets, or main dealerships is valued.
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or working towards it.
• Electric and Hybrid vehicle qualifications are advantageous but not essential; training provided.
• MOT License is beneficial but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge with a commitment to high standards.
