Position: HGV Mechanic

We are recruiting for an HGV Mechanic to join our transport division at our head office in Heywood.

Working Hours

06:00 to 18:00 on a 4 on 4 off static day shift pattern, averaging 40.25 hours per week. Pay rate is £17.98 per hour plus a weekly shift allowance of £40, with 30 minutes for lunch.

Role Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs
• Maintain, repair, and service units and trailers to MOT standards
• Ensure vehicle cleaning requirements are met before MOT service
• Handle breakdowns nationwide

Candidate Requirements

• Experience with maintenance and MOT on HGVs
• Class 1 license is desirable
• Knowledge of electrical instrumentation and safety compliance
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Organizational skills, including multitasking and prioritization
