Job summary

Holt-Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Technician/Mechanic/Fitter in Bedford. The role offers a permanent position with a salary of £60,000–£70,000 per annum. You will work on heavy vehicle diagnostics and repairs, following manufacturer procedures and warranty guidelines.

The successful candidate must have City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, hold a full UK driving licence, and ideally possess Class 1 or 2 licences. Tools are required from the outset.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Licence in Class 1 or 2 is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer's procedures.
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
• Comply with warranty procedures during repairs.
• Ensure that all vehicle defects are reported to your workshop controller.
