Job summary

Holt-Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic / Fitter for a busy workshop in Basingstoke. You will service, maintain and repair a modern fleet and work with a professional team.

The role is permanent with salary up to £50,000 per annum, enhanced overtime, ongoing training and clear progression opportunities within a growing business. Applicants must have City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as HGV Technician/Mechanic required.
• Apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Full UK driving licence; Class 1 or Class 2 licence would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
• Diagnose faults efficiently using the latest diagnostic equipment and repair methods.
• Follow warranty procedures and complete all relevant documentation accurately.
• Identify and report any additional vehicle defects to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.

What we need from you

• Previous experience working as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter is essential.
• Own tools required.
• Apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• A full UK driving licence.
• Class 1 or Class 2 licence would be advantageous.
