Job summary

Holt-Recruitment is seeking an experienced HGV Technician/Mechanic/ fitter for a permanent role in Slough. The position offers a salary of £70,000 to £75,000 per year and requires tools, UK driving licence, and City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.

Responsibilities include repairs per manufacturer procedures, fault diagnosis, warranty compliance, and reporting defects to the workshop controller. Class 1/2 licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have own tools.
• Ideally apprentice trained and qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Class 1 or 2 licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures.
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
• Comply with warranty procedures during repairs.
• Ensure that all vehicle defects are reported to your workshop controller.
