Job summary

Severn Trent Plc is seeking a Network Logistics Operative in Birmingham to transport materials, plant and equipment to construction sites. You will drive logistics vehicles, predominantly HGV Grab lorries, and support service laying while ensuring safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Hold a Class 2 driving licence (Category C, preferably CE) and an HGV qualification or be working towards one.
• Experience driving HGVs, especially Grab lorries.
• Experience in the utility and/or construction industry.
• HIAB (Grab) qualification and NRSWA Operative status.
• Knowledge of digital tachograph and driving/working time regulations.
• Good customer service skills and experience transporting plant, tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting materials, plant and equipment to and from construction sites.
• Drive logistics vehicles, predominantly HGV Grab lorries.
• Remove waste and spoil, deliver usable materials and support construction activities including service laying.
• Maintain safety and compliance in all transport activities.
