Job summary

Severn Trent Plc in Leicester is seeking a Network Logistics Operative to help deliver essential infrastructure projects. You will transport materials, plant and equipment to and from construction sites, and you will drive vehicles including HGV Grab lorries, supporting service laying and site operations.

Hours are 42 per week, Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm (4:00pm on Fridays). We value safety, customer service and a proactive approach, with training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Class 2 driving licence, minimum category C, preferably CE, and an HGV qualification or be working towards this.
• Experience driving HGVs, particularly Grab lorries
• Utility and/or construction industry experience
• HIAB (Grab) qualification and NRSWA Operative
• Knowledge of digital tachograph and driving/working time regulations
• Good customer service skills and experience transporting plant, tools and equipment

Responsibilities

• Safely transport materials, plant and equipment to & from construction sites
• Drive logistics vehicles, predominantly HGV Grab lorries
• Remove waste and spoil; deliver usable materials
• Support construction activities including service laying
