Job summary

Severn Trent in Leicester is hiring a Network Logistics Operative to safely transport materials, plant and equipment to construction sites. You will drive logistics vehicles, mainly HGV Grab lorries, and support service laying and site activities.

Ideal candidates will hold Class 2 licence (category C, CE preferred) and HIAB qualification, with knowledge of tachograph rules and a customer-focused approach. Severn Trent offers a strong training programme, generous holiday, and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence (category C) or higher, CE preferred.
• Experience driving HGVs, especially Grab lorries.
• Experience in utility/construction environments.
• HIAB (Grab) qualification and NRSWA Operative status.
• Knowledge of tachograph and driving time regs.
• Good customer service with transport of plant/tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport materials, plant and equipment to and from construction sites.
• Drive logistics vehicles, predominantly HGV Grab lorries.
• Remove waste and spoil; deliver usable materials.
• Support construction activities including service laying.
