Job summary

IDrive Recruitment is seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV drivers to fill positions in Watford with day and night shifts available from Monday to Sunday. Clean UK licence, CPC, tachograph card and right to work over 20 hours per week are required.

Pay rates range from £16 to £20 per hour depending on the role, with no self-employed work. You will perform driver checks, adhere to schedules, and communicate with dispatch to maintain high standards while following safety policies.

Qualifications

• Clean UK driving licence with ≤9 points.
• CPC entitlement is required.
• Tachograph card holder is mandatory.
• Right to work more than 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections per policy.
• Report safety issues using standard reports.
• Follow delivery schedules and liaise with dispatchers to complete jobs to a high standard.
• Comply with all required safety policies and procedures.

Job description

We are currently seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to fill positions throughout Watford. A range of jobs are available with both day and night shift options from Monday - Sunday.

You will need

• Clean full UK Driving Licence (no more than 9 points)
• Drivers Qualification Card (CPC)
• Drivers Tachograph Card
• Right to work over 20 hours p/w
• Reliable and a good time keeper
• Experience of operating a Class 1 or Class 2 vehicle in a safe manner

Expectations

• Confident Class 1 or Class 2 driver
• Able to perform a complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle as required by company policy checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in good working order.
• Able to report any safety issues on standard reports
• Able to follow instructions and the delivery schedule and confident to interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

Pay rates

We are able to offer rates between £16-£20 depending on job available
