Job summary

IDrive Recruitment are seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to fill positions throughout Crawley, with day and night shifts available from Monday to Sunday. A clean UK Driving Licence with CPC and Tachograph Card is required.

You will perform pre- and post-operation checks, report safety issues, follow delivery schedules and liaise with dispatchers to maintain high standards. Rates are £16–£20 per hour; self-employment is not offered.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence clean with no more than 9 points.
• Holder of CPC qualification.
• Tachograph card holder and up-to-date records.
• Right to work over 20 hours per week.
• Reliable, punctual and safe driving history.
• Experience operating Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete pre-operation inspection of the vehicle.
• Perform post-operation checks and report safety issues.
• Follow delivery schedules and communicate with dispatchers.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
• Interact professionally with clients and meet high service standards.

Job description

We are currently seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to fill positions throughout Crawley. A range of jobs are available with both day and night shift options from Monday - Sunday.

You will need:

• Clean full UK Driving Licence (no more than 9 points)
• Drivers Qualification Card (CPC)
• Drivers Tachograph Card
• Right to work over 20 hours p/w
• Reliable and a good time keeper
• Experience of operating a Class 1 or Class 2 vehicle in a safe manner

Expectations:

• Confident Class 1 or Class 2 driver
• Able to perform a complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle as required by company policy checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in good working order.
• Able to report any safety issues on standard reports
• Able to follow instructions and the delivery schedule and confident to interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

Pay rates

We are able to offer rates between £16-£20 depending on job available
