Job summary

IDrive Recruitment are currently seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to fill positions throughout Bedford. A range of jobs are available with both day and night shift options from Monday - Sunday.

We offer rates between £16-£20 depending on job available and do not offer self employed work. Essential requirements include a clean UK driving licence (no more than 9 points), CPC, tachograph card, and right to work over 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Clean full UK Driving Licence (no more than 9 points).
• CPC (Driver Qualification Card) must be held.
• Tachograph Card required.
• Right to work over 20 hours per week.
• Experience operating Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete pre- and post-operation vehicle inspection.
• Report safety issues on standard reports.
• Follow delivery schedules and interact with dispatchers to complete jobs to a high standard.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.

Job description

You will need:

• Reliable and a good time keeper
• Experience of operating a Class 1 or Class 2 vehicle in a safe manner

Expectations:

• Confident Class 1 or Class 2 driver
• Able to perform a complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle as required by company policy checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in good working order.
• Able to report any safety issues on standard reports
• Able to follow instructions and the delivery schedule and confident to interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures
