Job summary

IDrive Recruitment Ltd. is seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV drivers in Luton for day and night shifts. Roles involve pre/post vehicle inspections and driving to meet delivery schedules with dispatchers. Self-employed work is not offered; roles are employed positions with flexible assignments across our client base.

Competitive hourly rates range from £16 to £20 per hour, with shifts available across the week.

Qualifications

• Clean full UK Driving Licence with no more than 9 points.
• CPC (Drivers Qualification Card)
• Tachograph Card
• Right to work over 20 hours p/w
• Experience operating a Class 1 or Class 2 vehicle safely

Responsibilities

• Confident Class 1 or Class 2 driver
• Perform a complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle
• Report any safety issues on standard reports
• Follow delivery schedules and interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

Job description

We are currently seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to fill positions throughout Luton. A range of jobs are available with both day and night shift options from Monday - Sunday.

You will need:

• Clean full UK Driving Licence (no more than 9 points)
• Drivers Qualification Card (CPC)
• Drivers Tachograph Card
• Right to work over 20 hours p/w
• Reliable and a good time keeper
• Experience of operating a Class 1 or Class 2 vehicle in a safe manner

Expectations:

• Confident Class 1 or Class 2 driver
• Able to perform a complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle as required by company policy checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in good working order.
• Able to report any safety issues on standard reports
• Able to follow instructions and the delivery schedule and confident to interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

Pay rates

We are able to offer rates between £16-£20 depending on job available
