Job summary

IDrive Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV drivers to fill positions across West Sussex with day and night shifts available throughout the week. The roles involve pallet work and liaising with dispatchers to meet delivery schedules.

You will need a clean UK driving licence (max 9 points), CPC, Tachograph card, and right to work over 20 hours per week. Previous pallet handling experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Clean UK driving licence (no more than 9 points).
• CPC and Tachograph card required.
• Right to work over 20 hours per week and reliable timing.
• Experience driving Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles on pallet work.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections as required.
• Report safety issues using standard reports.
• Follow delivery schedules and interact with dispatchers to complete jobs.
• Handle pallets and ensure safe loading/unloading.

Job description

Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers

We are currently seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to fill positions throughout West Sussex. A range of jobs are available with both day and night shift options from Monday - Sunday.

Pallet Work

You will need:

• Clean full UK Driving Licence (no more than 9 points)
• Drivers Qualification Card (CPC)
• Drivers Tachograph Card
• Right to work over 20 hours p/w
• Reliable and a good time keeper
• Experience of operating a Class 1 or Class 2 vehicle in a safe manner

Expectations:

• Confident Class 1 or Class 2 driver
• Able to perform a complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle as required by company policy checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in good working order.
• Able to report any safety issues on standard reports
• Able to follow instructions and the delivery schedule and confident to interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures
• Experience with Pallets

Pay rates

We are able to offer rates between £16-£20 depending on job available

We do not offer self employed work
