Job summary

IDrive Recruitment is seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV drivers for positions across Greater London. Various day and night shifts available, Monday through Sunday. Event work may intensify around Christmas.

You must hold a UK licence with CPC and Tachograph card, be eligible to work over 20 hours per week, and have a safe driving record. Expected candidates should be confidentClass 1 or Class 2 drivers, able to perform vehicle inspections, report safety issues, follow schedules, and

Qualifications

• Clean full UK Driving Licence (no more than 9 points).
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC) held and valid.
• Driver Tachograph Card held and valid.
• Right to work over 20 hours per week.
• Reliable and a good time keeper with consistent attendance.
• Experience driving Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete pre-operation vehicle inspection per company policy.
• Carry out post-operation checks and report any issues with tyres, fluids, safety gear.
• Report safety issues on standard reports as required.
• Follow delivery schedules and interact with dispatchers to complete jobs to a high standard.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.

Job description

We are currently seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to fill positions throughout Greater London. A range of jobs are available with both day and night shift options from Monday - Sunday.

Event work will become busy around the Christmas period.

You will need:

• Clean full UK Driving Licence (no more than 9 points)
• Drivers Qualification Card (CPC)
• Drivers Tachograph Card
• Right to work over 20 hours p/w
• Reliable and a good time keeper
• Experience of operating a Class 1 or Class 2 vehicle in a safe manner

Expectations:

• Confident Class 1 or Class 2 driver
• Able to perform a complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle as required by company policy checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in good working order.
• Able to report any safety issues on standard reports
• Able to follow instructions and the delivery schedule and confident to interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

Pay rates

We are able to offer rates between £16-£20 depending on job available
