Job summary

IDrive Recruitment Ltd is recruiting experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV drivers for multiple roles around Brighton. Roles offer day and night shifts from Monday to Sunday, with pay between £16-£20 per hour, and require a clean UK licence (≤9 points), CPC, Tachograph card and a valid right to work for >20 hours per week.

Successful candidates will perform vehicle inspections, follow delivery schedules, and communicate with dispatch to ensure high standards of safety and service.

Qualifications

• Must hold a clean UK driving licence with no more than 9 points.
• CPC qualification and Tachograph card are essential.
• Right to work for over 20 hours per week is required.

Responsibilities

• Confident Class 1 or Class 2 driver.
• Carry out pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle.
• Report safety issues on standard reports.

Job description

We are currently seeking experienced Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to fill positions throughout Brighton. A range of jobs are available with both day and night shift options from Monday - Sunday.

You will need:

• Clean full UK Driving Licence (no more than 9 points)
• Drivers Qualification Card (CPC)
• Drivers Tachograph Card
• Right to work over 20 hours p/w
• Reliable and a good time keeper
• Experience of operating a Class 1 or Class 2 vehicle in a safe manner

Expectations:

• Confident Class 1 or Class 2 driver
• Able to perform a complete pre and post operation inspection of the vehicle as required by company policy checking tyre pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges and controls are in good working order.
• Able to report any safety issues on standard reports
• Able to follow instructions and the delivery schedule and confident to interact with dispatchers to complete the job to a high standard
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures

Pay rates

We are able to offer rates between £16-£20 depending on job available
