ARC GROUP is seeking an experienced HGV Driver Trainer in Immingham. The role involves hands-on training with drivers, assessing performance, and driving standards improvements across on-road and on-site settings.

You will deliver in-cab and classroom training, focusing on safe, efficient driving and compliance with tachograph rules. The candidate should have a full HGV Class 1 licence and proven training experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while

Qualifications

• Full HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Experience as an HGV Driver Trainer or Assessor.
• Strong knowledge of tachograph laws and drivers' hours.
• Experience delivering in-cab and classroom training.
• Good knowledge of vehicle defects and daily procedures.
• Experience with Volvo and Mercedes HGVs is advantageous.
• Understanding of telematics, driver performance and fuel-efficient driving.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• European language skills are beneficial but not required.

Responsabilités

• Assess HGV drivers and identify training and development needs.
• Deliver in-cab and classroom driver training.
• Promote efficient and economical driving techniques.
• Use telematics data, fuel performance and driver scores to identify improvements.
• Provide training on tachograph legislation and drivers' hours regulations.
• Train drivers on vehicle defects, defect reporting and daily checks.
• Ensure drivers understand and follow company procedures.
• Support driver performance and improve driving standards.
• Spend significant time training and assessing drivers on the road.
• Work on-site and from the office as required.
