ARC Group in Felixstowe is seeking an experienced HGV Driver Trainer to join our team. The role is hands-on, combining on-site and road training to raise safety, efficiency and driving standards.

You will assess drivers, deliver in-cab and classroom training, and use telematics data to identify improvement areas while ensuring compliance with tachograph laws and drivers’ hours regulations. A full HGV 1 licence and trainer experience are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Must hold a current HGV Class 1 licence and experience training drivers.
• Strong knowledge of tachograph rules and drivers’ hours.
• Proven ability to deliver both in-cab and classroom training.
• Good understanding of vehicle defects and daily checks.
• Experience with telematics and fuel‑efficient driving.

Aufgaben

• Assess drivers and identify training needs.
• Deliver in-cab and classroom training sessions.
• Coach drivers in efficient, safe driving techniques.
• Use telematics and driver scores to drive improvement.
• Provide guidance on tachograph legislation and hours rules.
• Train on vehicle defects, checks, and procedures.
• Support driver performance and standards on-road.
