Job summary

Amey Ltd in Glasgow invites applications for a Highways Maintenance Operative to support the NMC SW Account. The role is a fixed-term contract (minimum 6 months) with 42 hours weekly in a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, including nights.

You will be involved in routine and cyclic maintenance, litter picking, and civils tasks, with overtime and a competitive salary depending on experience. The position requires a full UK driving licence and experience in roads works; HGV licence preferred but not

Qualifications

• Experience in roads and/or street works.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Demonstrate awareness to Health and Safety regulations.
• Be self-motivated with ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Winter maintenance experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Undertake various highway maintenance tasks including patching, kerbing, ironwork replacement, and drainage maintenance.
• Operate and maintain vehicles, including HGVs and small plant machinery, with checks and routine maintenance.
• Participate in winter and summer standby duties and emergency callouts.
• Prioritise safety for yourself and the team at all times.
• Keep records and liaise with Amey employees, sub-contractors, emergency services, police, clients and customers.
