Job summary

Amey is seeking an HGV Driver / Highways Maintenance Operative in Dundee to maintain trunk roads and support winter operations. You will perform essential highway maintenance tasks, operate specialist vehicles and assist in incident response to keep roads safe and accessible year-round.

The role requires a valid HGV licence and a full UK driving licence, with experience in highways maintenance and a strong commitment to health and safety.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Licence.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience working in highways maintenance, roadworks, construction, civils or similar operations.
• Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate HGVs and highway maintenance vehicles.
• Carry out carriageway and footway repairs.
• Replace kerbs and ironworks as required.
• Maintain drainage and perform repairs on infrastructure.
• Operate small plant and equipment as needed.
• Assist with winter gritting and snow response.
• Respond to incidents and support network recovery.
