Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council are recruiting a Grounds Operative (HGV Driver) at Forrest Street Depot, Blantyre. You will contribute to efficient grounds maintenance and operate required equipment within our Grounds Services team.

Applicants must hold a full UK HGV licence, have grounds maintenance experience, and be capable of independent or team work with a strong safety focus. The role is 37 hours per week with the stated shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Valid full UK HGV driving licence.
• Experience in grounds/streetscape maintenance.
• Experience operating Johnston road sweepers or similar equipment.
• Good understanding of vehicle checks and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by delivering an effective grounds maintenance service.
• Operate and assist in grounds maintenance tasks across locations.
• Work with multiple teams to ensure safety, efficiency and high-quality service delivery.
