Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council are recruiting a Grounds Operative (HGV Driver) at Forrest Street Depot, Blantyre. You will contribute to efficient grounds maintenance and operate required equipment within our Grounds Services team.

Applicants must hold a full UK HGV licence, have grounds maintenance experience, and be capable of independent or team work with a strong safety focus. The role is 37 hours per week with the stated shift pattern.

Qualifications

Community and Enterprise Resources are seeking to appoint Grounds Operatives (HGV Driver) within our Grounds Services team based in Forrest Street Depot, Blantyre.

One of the main responsibilities of this job is to provide excellent customer service by assisting in providing an effective grounds maintenance service.

Our Services Include

• Mechanical Sweeping both large and small
• Working with different teams on all aspects of grounds maintenance.
• A full UK HGV driving licence and previous experience of working in a grounds/streetscape maintenance environment are essential.
• Experience operating Johnston road sweepers or similar equipment
• Good understanding of vehicle checks and maintenance procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to safety, efficiency, and high-quality service delivery
