Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals UK & Ireland is seeking a motivated LCV Driver to join our team in Barking. You will operate vans up to 3.5 tonnes, collect and deliver to customer sites, and uphold safety and loading procedures to meet customer expectations.

The role requires a Category B licence (max 6 points), good numeracy and literacy, strong communication, and a proactive safety approach. IT system use is desirable; full training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Category B driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and drivers.
• Polite manner when visiting customer premises.
• Numeracy and literacy proficiency.
• Good communication skills.
• Geographical knowledge and LCV experience.
• Ability to use IT systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate light commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes for goods transport.
• Ensure vehicle is roadworthy before journeys and load is secure.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal and external customers.
• Adhere to legal and company safety requirements and Working Time Directive regulations.

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented LCV Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

What will you be doing?

Operating light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes for transportation of goods

Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load

Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers

Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all times
