Job summary

Driver Hire Ashford & Tonbridge are seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 ADR (Packages) Driver for Cranbrook, Kent. This long-term sickness cover role offers 42.5 hours weekly, 6:00am starts, Monday–Friday with some Saturdays. Pay £18.85–£21.13 per hour, with overtime rates £28.28–£31.69.

Full training and ongoing support are provided. New ADR licence holders are encouraged to apply; previous ADR experience is not required.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence and ADR Packages licence are required.
• CPC and Tachograph Card are mandatory.
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
• New ADR licence holders are encouraged to apply and full training is provided.
• Minimum 90 days HGV driving in last 12 months (insurance requirement).

Responsibilities

• Complete multi‑drop deliveries of gas cylinders to residential and commercial customers.
• Carry out manual handling as part of daily duties.
• Deliver excellent customer service at each delivery point.
• Work safely and in line with company procedures and transport legislation.

HGV Class 2 ADR (Packages) Driver - Long-Term Ongoing Role

Cranbrook, Kent

£18.85-21.13 per hour | Overtime £28.28-31.69 per hour

Driver Hire Ashford & Tonbridge are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 2 ADR (Packages) Driver based in Cranbrook.

This is a long-term sickness cover position, with work expected to continue until January 2027. If you\'re looking for regular hours, excellent rates of pay and a long-term opportunity with a well-established company, we\'d love to hear from you.

Newly qualified ADR licence holders are encouraged to apply - previous ADR driving experience is not required, as full training will be provided.

Working Hours

• 42.5 hours per week
• 6:00am starts, Monday to Friday
• Some Saturday work required
• Overtime paid after 42.5 hours

What You'll Need

• No DD or DR convictions within the last year
