Job summary

Driver Hire Ashford & Tonbridge is recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 ADR driver based in Cranbrook. This is a temporary to permanent role with a 12-week qualifying period before permanent contract.

45? No – 42.5 hours per week, 6:00am starts, Monday to Friday with some Saturdays. Full training provided and on-site parking available. ADR packages licence holders encouraged to apply, training provided.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence required.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• ADR (Packages) licence required.
• Max 6 penalty points; no DD/DR convictions within the last year.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop deliveries of gas cylinders to residential and commercial customers, including rural locations.
• Carry out manual handling as part of daily duties and deliver excellent customer service at each delivery point.
• Work safely and in line with company procedures and transport legislation.

• HGV Class 2 ADR (Packages) Driver – Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
• Cranbrook, Kent
• Temp to perm

Driver Hire Ashford & Tonbridge are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 2 ADR (Packages) Driver based in Cranbrook.

This is an excellent temporary to permanent opportunity, with the successful candidate joining the client on a permanent contract after a successful 12-week qualifying period. Newly qualified ADR licence holders are encouraged to apply – previous ADR driving experience is not required, as full training will be provided.

Working Hours

• 42.5 hours per week
• 6:00am starts, Monday to Friday (please let us know if you are interested in nights, as this may be possible)
• Some Saturday work required
• Overtime paid after 42.5 hours
• Overtime paid at £28.28–£31.69 per hour
• Temporary to permanent opportunity after 12 weeks

• Accrued or advanced holiday pay during the temporary period

What You’ll Need

• HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid Driver CPC

• A minimum of 90 days’ HGV driving experience within the last 12 months (insurance requirement)
• No more than 6 penalty points
• No DD or DR convictions within the last year
