Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting in the Runcorn area on behalf of our well known, industry-leading client for multiple HGV Driver roles. Bulky runs and linehaul work are available, with starts from 7am–10am or 12pm–10pm depending on shift.

Shifts are typically Monday to Friday with weekend work possible. Pay rates are £15.83/hr for bulk runs and £18.04–£18.79/hr for linehaul, with full UK licence and DCPC required and a short driving assessment as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 or 2 entitlement and valid DCPC.
• 6 months minimum experience on the relevant vehicle.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).

Responsibilities

• Bulk runs: multi‑drop delivery (loading and unloading).
• Linehaul runs: trunk runs to the HUB.
• Flexibility for weekend work and varied start times.

Shifts:

Typically across Monday to Friday but weekend work also may be a requirement

Roles:

• HGV Class 1 - Linehaul runs
• HGV Class 2 - Bulk runs

Start Times:

• Days - between 7am - 10am starts (bulk runs)
• Afters - between 12pm - 10pm starts (linehaul runs)

Pay Rate:

• Bulk runs - £15.83 per hour
• Linehaul runs - £18.04 per hour (between 6am -10pm) & £18.79 per hour (between 10pm - 6am)

• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
