Job summary

Xpress Haulage Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking a reliable HGV driver for long-term shifts on a fixed contract. You will operate modern trucks, swapping trailers between sites, with no loading/unloading duties required.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/C+E (Class 1) licence.
• Full Driver CPC qualification.

Responsibilities

• Drive from site to site with boxed trailers.
• Drop/swap trailers; approx. 4 swaps per shift.
• No loading/unloading duties; breaks in staff area.

• Truck Driver is not required to assist with any unloading/loading. Relax in the break room area whilst the warehouse staff load and unload.

HGV Driver Requirements

• Hold a valid commercial Driving licence with the correct categories C + E (CLASS 1)
• Have a professional Driving Qualification called the Full Driver Certificate of Professional competence
• Hold a Digital Tachograph/smart card
• Pass a criminal background check
• Be able to read & speak basic English
• Have a maximum of 6 points on the Driving licence (as well as no DD, DR OR IN endorsements)
• In return we offer £38,500 per annum paid as a hourly rate (weekly).
• 4 on 2 off with a mixture of days, nights and weekends
