Job summary

Top Gear Recruitment Solutions is seeking HGV1/LGV1/Class One drivers for ongoing roles in Wednesbury. You will operate flat bed/curtain sided vehicles, delivering steel products to sites across the UK while managing up to three drops per shift and backloads as needed.

The position offers an hourly PAYE rate of £19.05–£20.17 with weekly pay and ongoing, regular work. Start times range from 01:00 to 23:30, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV1/LGV1/Class One license.
• Valid and in-date CPC card.
• Valid and in date tachograph card.
• Experience with steel loads or abnormal loads.
• Proficient in using ratchet straps.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV1/LGV1/Class One/Class 1 vehicle across the UK.
• Deliver steel coil, sheet, tube and bar to sites across the UK.
• Maximum 3 drops plus backloads per shift.
• Start times vary between 0100 and 2330.

HGV1/LGV1/Class One/Class 1/Category C+E Driver required

Our prestigious client based in Wednesbury are urgently seeking HGV1/LGV1/Class One/Class 1/Category C+E Drivers

As a HGV1/LGV1/Class One/Class 1/Category C+E Driver, your duties will include the following:

• Driving a HGV1/LGV1/Class One/Class 1/Category C+E flat bed/curtain sided vehicle with a sliding roof
• Carrying out deliveries of steel coil, sheet, tube and bar to various sites across the UK using ratchet straps and sheets (When required)
• Maximum 3 x drops plus backloads per shift
• Start times can vary between 0100 up to 2330

The ideal HGV1/LGV1/Class One/Class 1/Category C+E Driver will have the following:

• A valid HGV1/LGV1/Class One/Class 1/Category C+E driving licence
• A valid and in date driver CPC card
• A valid and in date digital tachograph card
• Experience of either carrying steel or if not, abnormal loads
• be proficient in the use of ratchet straps

The successful HGV1/LGV1/Class One/Class 1/Category C+E Driver can expect the following:
