Smart Solutions is seeking a dedicated HGV Class 2 Trade Waste Driver for the Sheffield depot. The role offers full-time ongoing work with regular weekday hours, overtime potential, and performance bonuses. A modern fleet supports professional service across the region.

You will collect commercial waste, use onboard tech, and uphold safety standards while delivering reliable customer service to customers.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience (essential).
• Waste industry experience beneficial but not essential.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual duties.

Responsabilités

• Safely operate Trade Waste and FEL vehicles across Sheffield and surrounding areas.
• Complete scheduled commercial waste collections efficiently and professionally.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects promptly.
• Use onboard technology and handheld devices to manage workloads.
• Ensure all collections are completed in accordance with procedures and legal requirements.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.

HGV Class 2 Trade Waste Driver

Sheffield Depot | Full-Time | Ongoing Work

Pay: £43,863 per year

Based on a typical working week, drivers can earn:

• 40 hours at standard rate (£14.47 per hour)


• 8 hours overtime paid at enhanced rates (£18.09 per hour)


• OTIF bonus - £80 per week


• Bin bonus - £40 per week

Typical weekly earnings: £843.52

Equivalent annual earnings: £43,863.04*

*Based on a standard working pattern including overtime and bonus payments. Actual earnings may vary depending on hours worked and eligibility for bonuses.

This is a full-time, ongoing position offering regular weekday work, performance bonuses, paid breaks, and excellent earning potential through overtime.

The Role

As a Class 2 Trade Waste Driver, you will be responsible for collecting commercial waste using a modern fleet of vehicles while delivering a safe, professional, and reliable service to customers across the region.
