Job summary

Lockwood Group is seeking an HGV Class 2 driver to operate on a Monday to Friday days basis in the UK. The role offers a wage based on 44 hours per week at £13.80 per hour, with an additional monthly driver incentive bonus up to £200.00.

An HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, Digi card and knowledge of tachograph and WTD rules are essential. You will perform general haulage and multi‑drop deliveries, use electronic POD and walk around checks, and uphold excellent customer service while coordinating with

Qualifications

• CPC qualification and a valid Digi card are required.
• Good understanding of Tachograph and Working Time Directive (WTD) rules.
• Must be reliable, punctual and have a flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• General haulage and pallet network multi‑drop deliveries/collections.
• Use of electronic POD devices and walk around checks (training provided).
• Maintain excellent levels of customer service and timely communication with the Transport team.
• Deliver goods in a timely and professional manner.

About the HGV Class 2 role

Operating on a Monday - Friday days basis.

Wage is based on a minimum of 44 hours paid per week @ £13.80 per hour (when a full week is complete).

Additional Bonuses: Driver incentive bonus up to £200.00 per month.

HGV Class 2 licence is essential.

As a HGV Class 2 driver with the Lockwood Group you will be required to complete the following tasks

• General Haulage
• Pallet Network multi-drop deliveries/collections
• Use of the latest technology i.e. electronic POD devices, electronic walk around checks (full training will be provided).
• To maintain excellent levels of customer service
• To ensure accurate and timely communication with the Transport team
• To deliver goods in a timely and professional manner.

Skills and experience we’re looking for in our HGV Class 2 drivers

• Candidates will be a fully qualified HGV Class 2 driver with a CPC, valid Digi card and a good understanding of Tachograph and WTD rules.
• You will be reliable and punctual and have a flexible approach
• Good verbal communication with excellent customer service skills and a professional approach.
