Job summary

Driver Hire in Leyland is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver for a permanent, full-time role. You will work on a rotating Monday–Friday / Tuesday–Saturday shift, delivering goods directly to shops with a Driver’s Mate to assist.

The position requires knowledge of drivers’ hours and regulations, good customer service, and physical ability to move goods with a sack truck. You’ll perform vehicle checks and complete delivery paperwork while providing a professional service on each route.

Qualifications

• Understanding of drivers’ hours and working time regulations.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including unloading with a sack truck.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 vehicle on scheduled delivery routes.
• Deliver goods to shops and retail locations.
• Unloading and moving goods using a sack truck.
• Work closely with Driver’s Mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Complete vehicle checks and relevant delivery paperwork.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
