Job summary

Driver Hire in Leyland is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 Driver for a permanent, full-time role. You will work on a rotating Monday–Friday / Tuesday–Saturday shift, delivering goods directly to shops with a Driver’s Mate to assist.

The position requires knowledge of drivers’ hours and regulations, good customer service, and physical ability to move goods with a sack truck. You’ll perform vehicle checks and complete delivery paperwork while providing a professional service on each route.

Shift Pattern: Monday–Friday / Tuesday–Saturday rotating weekly
Licence Required: HGV Class 2 (Category C)

Salary: £36400 – £38000 per year

We are looking for a reliable and professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team based in Leyland on a permanent basis.

This is a delivery role supplying goods directly to shops. You will be working alongside a Driver’s Mate, who will assist you throughout the day with deliveries and unloading.

The Role

Your duties will include:

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle on scheduled delivery routes


• Delivering goods to shops and retail locations


• Unloading and moving goods using a sack truck


• Working closely with your Driver’s Mate to complete deliveries safely and efficiently


• Completing vehicle checks and relevant delivery paperwork


• Providing a professional and friendly service to customers


• Ensuring goods are handled carefully and delivered to the correct locations

Shift Pattern

The position operates on a rotating shift pattern:

Week 1: Monday to Friday
Week 2: Tuesday to Saturday

The rota then repeats.
