Job summary

Pertemps Bond in Bristol is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver/Loader for full-time, ongoing work with waste and recycling collections. This hands-on role combines driving with loading duties in an outdoor environment, Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm.

You will operate Class 2 vehicles, perform safety checks, load/unload, complete paperwork on handheld devices, and deliver reliable customer service while working as part of a team across Bristol.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence is required.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are required.
• Good understanding of HGV driving regulations, Working Time Directive and tachograph rules.
• Experience completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting is desirable.
• Comfortable using mobile devices and completing electronic paperwork.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in line with legal requirements and company procedures.
• Collect, load, transport and unload waste and recycling materials.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
• Tip vehicles at approved recycling and waste facilities.
• Accurately complete paperwork and electronic records using handheld devices.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate professionally with colleagues, customers and the public.
• Work flexibly across different operational locations when required.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.

HGV Class 2 Driver/Loader – Bristol

We are recruiting HGV Class 2 Driver/Loaders for ongoing, full-time work supporting waste and recycling collection services across Bristol.

• Monday to Friday
• 6:00am – 2:30pm shifts (39 hours per week)
• £17.27 per hour
• Overtime paid at 1.5x after 39 hours and Saturday. 2x on a Sunday and bank holidays

This is a physically active role combining HGV driving with loading duties. You'll be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 vehicle while working as part of a team to collect, transport and unload waste and recycling materials across the Bristol area.
