Job summary

Pertemps Bristol Industrial is hiring an HGV Class 2 Driver/Loader for ongoing, full-time work across the Bristol area. This hands-on role combines driving with loading duties as part of waste and recycling collections.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, 6:00am to 2:30pm (39 hours per week). The pay is £17.27 per hour, with overtime after 39 hours, on Sundays and bank holidays. The role offers long-term opportunities, a Pension and career development schemes, and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of HGV driving regulations, Working Time Directive and tachograph rules.
• Experience completing daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Comfortable using mobile devices and completing electronic paperwork.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive and operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in line with legal requirements and company procedures.
• Collect, load, transport and unload waste and recycling materials.
• Complete daily vehicle safety checks and report defects promptly.
• Tip vehicles at approved recycling and waste facilities.
• Accurately complete paperwork and electronic records using handheld devices.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
• Deliver excellent customer service and communicate professionally with colleagues, customers and the public.
• Work flexibly across different operational locations when required.
• Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures.

We are recruiting HGV Class 2 Driver/Loadersfor ongoing, full-time work supporting waste and recycling collection services across Bristol.

This is a physically active role combining HGV driving with loading duties. You'll be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 vehicle while working as part of a team to collect, transport and unload waste and recycling materials across the Bristol area.

The Role

This is a hands-on outdoor role involving regular lifting, moving bins and recycling containers, and working in all weather conditions. It's ideal for drivers who enjoy staying active and being part of a supportive team.

Requirements
