Job summary

Veolia in Oswestry is offering a permanent full-time driver/loading role. You will collect recycling, refuse and green waste, drive a Cat C vehicle, and perform loading duties with a guaranteed 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, starting at 6:45 am.

The role includes on-site training, a pension scheme, 21 days annual leave rising to 23, and DCPC training; a supportive team and work-life balance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Cat C licence and Driver CPC required.
• Willingness to perform loading and driving duties.

Responsibilities

• Collect recycling, refuse and green waste from domestic properties in Oswestry and surrounding areas.
• Drive and also perform loading duties.
• Undertake vehicle defect checks and ensure loads are secure.
• Maintain on-board tablet records and keep areas clean after collections.

Location: Oswestry, Shropshire, SY10 8GA

Hours: Guaranteed 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6:45 am start. Finish times vary. (Part-time hours would be considered)

• Oswestry SY10 8GA
• Bridgnorth WV15 5BA
• Craven Arms SY7 8NR

What you'll be doing;

• With one of the largest growing fleets in the UK, our drivers are pivotal to delivering essential services. They work hard to serve their local communities and make a positive impact every day.
• Collecting recycling, refuse and green waste from domestic properties in Oswestry and the surrounding areas.
• Driving as well as loading duties
• Undertake vehicle defect checks
• Complying with all traffic laws and legislation including the security and weight of loads
• Accurately recording work completed using an onboard tablet device and reporting any collection issues that arise.
• Ensure the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area
• Assisting other Collection crews

What we're looking for;

• Cat C (Class 2) Licence

• Willingness and capability to do a mixed loading/driving role
