Job summary

Veolia is recruiting a Driver for the Lynnbottom Household Waste Recycling Centre in Newport. You will operate a large fleet, collect waste from local sites and deliver it for processing, ensuring safe, compliant loads and timely documentation.

The role requires a Cat C (Class 2) licence, CPC and Digi Card. It is a full-time position, offering ongoing training and a supportive team with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Cat C (Class 2) licence and previous experience
• Must have a current CPC and Digi Card

Responsibilities

• Collecting waste from our household waste recycling centres and depositing it into our facilities, predominantly via a roll-on, roll-off vehicle
• Collecting waste from our facilities and delivering it for further processing
• Undertake the necessary daily checks (e.g. oil, water, tyres)
• Comply with all traffic laws and legislation relating to your duties, including the security and weight of loads
• Assist with other parts of the operation as and when required
• Ensure that all related documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

42 hours per week

Fridays & Saturdays 08:00 - 19:00

Sunday 07:00 - 18:00

Mondays 08:00 - 19:00

(all with 30mins unpaid break)
