Job summary

Jewson Bristol is recruiting an Area HGV Class 2 Driver. You will deliver building materials to customers, load/unload, operate the crane, and support the team while covering a cluster of branches in the Bath, Bristol, Clevedon, Frome, Radstock, Stroud, Weston Super Mare and Yate area.

Reliable driving with a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC card and Digi Tachograph are required. Multidrop experience is handy but not essential.

• Multidrop experience is handy but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver building materials to customers as the face of Jewson.
• Load and unload goods, operate the crane, and support team members as needed.
• Cover a designated area and be prepared to cover absence within that cluster of branches (Bath, Bristol, Clevedon, Frome, Radstock, Stroud, Weston-super-Mare, Yate).

What To Expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area.

You will be assigned to our Jewson Bristol branch and required to cover a cluster of branches.

These branches are: Bath, Bristol, Clevedon, Frome, Radstock, Stroud, Weston Super Mare and Yate.

You will be paid travel and subsistence.

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it’s not a necessity
