Job summary

CSG is seeking a reliable, safety‑focused HGV Class 2 ADR Driver to join our nationwide forecourt cleaning operation. This hands‑on role involves operating specialist vehicles, visiting customer sites, and safely transporting waste in accordance with ADR, environmental, health and safety requirements.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys the road, can work independently, and deliver a high‑quality service to customers.

Qualifications

• A current HGV Class 2 licence.
• A valid ADR qualification/card.
• A valid Digital Tachograph (Digi) Card.
• Demonstrable experience and competence in operating HGV vehicles.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexibility to work different locations and regular nights out in the cab.

Responsibilities

• Safely and professionally operate Company HGV Class 2 vehicles, tankers and specialist cleaning equipment.
• Travel to customer sites to carry out specialist cleaning and waste collection duties.
• Clean and maintain forecourts to a high standard, ensuring sites are left safe and presentable.
• Safely collect, handle and transport hazardous and non‑hazardous waste in ADR compliance.
• Complete driver, waste-transfer and operational paperwork accurately and on time.

Role Accountabilities:

We are looking for a professional, reliable and safety-focused HGV Class 2 ADR Driver to join our specialist forecourt cleaning operation.

This is a hands-on and varied role involving the cleaning and maintenance of fuel station forecourts across the UK. You will operate specialist vehicles and equipment, attend customer sites, carry out forecourt cleaning activities and safely transport waste in accordance with all relevant ADR, environmental, health and safety requirements.

The role is ideal for a driver who enjoys being out on the road, working independently and delivering a professional service directly to customers.

This is a nationwide role and regular nights out in the cab will be required.

• Safely and professionally operate Company HGV Class 2 vehicles, tankers and specialist cleaning equipment.
• Travel to customer sites, including fuel station forecourts, to carry out specialist cleaning and waste collection duties.
• Clean and maintain forecourts to a consistently high standard, ensuring sites are left safe, clean and presentable.
• Safely collect, handle and transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including drums, IBCs and other containers.
• Comply fully with ADR regulations and all applicable transport, environmental and waste-management legislation.
• Correctly use all required PPE, equipment and site-specific safety procedures.
• Complete all driver, waste-transfer and operational paperwork accurately and within required timescales.
• Deliver a professional and courteous service when dealing with customers and site personnel.
• Maintain the cleanliness, condition and safe operation of Company vehicles and equipment.
• Be flexible regarding working hours and locations to meet operational requirements.
• Be prepared for regular nights out in the cab.
• Undertake physical duties including manual handling, packaging, loading and heavy lifting.
• Identify and report any safety, operational or customer issues to your Line Manager promptly.
• Ensure every job is completed safely, efficiently and to the high standards expected by the Company.

The Candidate:

We're looking for someone who is reliable, professional, safety-conscious and takes pride in their work.

• A current HGV Class 2 licence.
• A valid ADR qualification/card appropriate to the role.
• A valid Digital Tachograph (Digi) Card.
• Demonstrable experience and competence in operating HGV vehicles and associated equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A good general standard of education, ideally to GCSE level or equivalent.
• The ability to work independently while also being a positive member of the wider team.
• A strong understanding of health, safety and environmental responsibilities.
• The flexibility to work different vehicles, locations and working patterns when required.
• The ability and willingness to regularly stay away from home in the vehicle.

Experience

Previous experience within waste management, hazardous waste, ADR transport, forecourt services or industrial cleaning would be advantageous.

However, we're equally interested in people with the right attitude, work ethic and professional approach. Full training will be provided on our specialist equipment and operational procedures.
