Job summary

CSG is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Aylesford. The role involves collecting non-hazardous waste in a Class 2 Vehicle, with heavy lifting and occasional nights out. You will advise and communicate with customers and maintain accurate driver paperwork.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 driving experience and Digi-card.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to handle paperwork and basic IT tasks.
• Flexible approach to the role.
• Willing to work nights out when required.
• Experience in waste sector preferred with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 Vehicle? (use text from ad) The driver will be collecting non-hazardous waste in a Class 2 Vehicle.
• Daily duties involve some heavy lifting.
• Must be willing to spend nights out away on the odd occasion.
• Advising & communicating with customers.
• Averaging 40 hours a week, plus overtime.
• Ensure that all driver related paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.
• Raise any issues, problems, or concerns with your Line Manager at the earliest opportunity.
• Deal with Customers in a manner that retains their loyalty to the Company and delivers an outstanding service.
• Ensure compliance with the Group's Health and Safety policy and behaviours.
• Drive and operate Company vehicles and equipment in a professional, safe and legal manner.

• Advising & communicating with customers.
• Averaging 40 hours a week, plus overtime.
• Ensure that all driver related paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.

The Candidate:

• HGV Class 1 Driver
• ADR Licence is an advantage but not essential as training can be given.
• Previous relevant driving experience and possession of a Digi-card
• Must be able to provide excellent customer service.
• A level of written and mathematical skills, as there will be paperwork involved.
• A flexible approach to the role
• Experience of working in the waste sector, full training will be given
• A basic understanding of IT, works are delivered with a handheld tablet.
