Job summary

Restore Datashred in Southampton is seeking a Class 2 Driver for secure collections and manual handling duties. The role offers a permanent contract, with a 45-hour week, Monday–Friday, no weekends or night shifts. Salary is £38,149.53 plus a £500 quarterly bonus, with additional driver training and progression opportunities.

You will collect confidential materials, maintain security, and deliver outstanding customer service while working across customer sites and using a PDA to log details.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 2 driving licence (essential).
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card (Essential).
• Understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations (Essential).
• Active role with manual handling throughout the day (Essential).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and manage daily routes.
• Reliable, organised and safety-conscious.
• Ability to handle confidential materials professionally (Essential).

Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle and completing planned collection routes.
• Collecting confidential documents, paper waste, IT equipment and other secure materials.
• Loading, moving and handling collection bags and containers.
• Working across customer sites, including walking between collection points and occasional stair access.
• Using a PDA to record collection details and customer information.
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with Drivers' Hours regulations.
• Maintaining the security and confidentiality of customer materials at all times.
• Delivering excellent customer service and representing Restore Datashred professionally.

You'll play a key role in helping customers securely dispose of confidential materials, ensuring collections are completed safely, securely and on time.

Please note: This is an active role that includes regular lifting and moving of collection sacks and containers throughout the working day. Training and equipment will be provided to support safe manual handling practices.
