Job summary

Restore Datashred in Swinton, Manchester is seeking a Class 2 Driver for secure collections. You will drive a Class 2 vehicle on planned routes, collect confidential materials, and ensure safe handling while delivering excellent customer service.

The role is permanent, Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week with no weekends or nights. Salary is £36,300.11 plus a £500 quarterly bonus, with fully funded Driver CPC training, and enhanced leave and sick pay benefits.

Qualifications

• Full UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence is essential.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card are essential.
• Understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations is essential.
• Comfort with manual handling and walking between points is required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and manage daily routes.
• Reliable and safety-conscious with discretion for confidential materials.

Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle and completing planned collection routes.
• Collecting confidential documents, paper waste, IT equipment and other secure materials.
• Loading, moving and handling collection bags and containers.
• Working across customer sites, including walking between collection points and occasional stair access.
• Using a PDA to record collection details and customer information.
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with Drivers' Hours regulations.
• Maintaining the security and confidentiality of customer materials at all times.
• Delivering excellent customer service and representing Restore Datashred professionally.
