Job summary

Restore Datashred is hiring a HGV Class 2 Driver for secure collections and manual handling. The role is based in South Kirkby with a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, and no weekends or night shifts.

You will drive a Class 2 vehicle, collect confidential materials, and use a PDA to record details while upholding safety and confidentiality standards. A permanent contract and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Full UK Category C Licence and clean driving record.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card is essential.
• Understanding of Drivers' Hours Regulations is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 vehicle on planned routes.
• Collect confidential documents and secure materials.
• Load and unload collection bags and containers.
• Move across customer sites and navigate stairs as needed.
• Record collection details on PDA and verify information.
• Perform vehicle checks and comply with Drivers' Hours rules.
• Maintain confidentiality of client materials.
• Deliver excellent customer service on every interaction.

About The Role

Role: HGV Class 2 Driver - Secure Collection & Manual Handling Role

Location: South Kirkby, WF9 3FD

Salary: £36,300.11 + £500 Quarterly Bonus

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 45 hours per week

(No Weekends or Night Shifts)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Driving a Class 2 vehicle and completing planned collection routes
• Collecting confidential documents, paper waste, IT equipment and other secure materials
• Loading, moving and handling collection bags and containers
• Working across customer sites, including walking between collection points and occasional stair access
• Using a PDA to record collection details and customer information
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with Drivers' Hours regulations
• Maintaining the security and confidentiality of customer materials at all times
• Delivering excellent customer service and representing Restore Datashred professionally

About you:

• Full UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence (Essential)
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card (Essential)
• Understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time regulations (Essential)
• Someone who enjoys an active role and is comfortable with manual handling activities throughout the day (Essential)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and manage daily routes effectively
• Reliable, organised and committed to safe working practices
• Ability to handle confidential materials with professionalism and discretion effectively (Essential)

Please note: This is an active role that includes regular lifting and moving of collection sacks and containers throughout the working day. Training and equipment will be provided to support safe manual handling practices.
