Job summary

SRG Recruitment is seeking experienced LGV/HGV Class 2 drivers for Southampton-area multi-drop work. You will deliver palletised goods locally, load/unload, secure loads and complete delivery paperwork, with customer-facing duties and route planning.

Role involves daily vehicle checks, adherence to Drivers' Hours/WTD, and flexible full-time/part-time opportunities. Ongoing regular work with potential temp-to-perm options. Southampton familiarity is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C / Class 2 licence for at least 1 year.
• Previous commercial HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• Multi-drop pallet experience essential.
• Valid CPC / DQC.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• No DD / DR / DG / IN endorsement codes.
• Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and WTD.
• Good knowledge of Southampton and surrounding areas.
• Reliable, flexible and hardworking attitude.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a transport team.

Job description

CLASS 2 / 7.5 TONNE MULTI-DROP DRIVERS - SOUTHAMPTON

SRG Recruitment are seeking experienced LGV / HGV Class 2 / 7.5 Tonne Multi-Drop Drivers for a client based in the Southampton area.

The role will mainly involve multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods around Southampton and the surrounding areas, using an electric or manual pump truck. Some strapping and securing of loads may also be required. Previous experience with multi-drop pallet deliveries is essential.

We are also interested in speaking with Class 2 drivers from a range of backgrounds, including Multi-Drop, Skip Driver, Tipper Driver, Waste Driver, HIAB Driver, Hook Loader, Grab Driver, Curtainside, Flatbed, Tanker, Trunking, Distribution and General Haulage experience.

Drivers must be comfortable with loading and unloading, securing loads, completing delivery paperwork and dealing professionally with customers. Good knowledge of Southampton and the surrounding local area would be advantageous.

All types of Class 2 experience will be considered, including Multi-Drop, Skip Lorry, Tipper, Waste & Recycling, HIAB, Grab, Hook Loader, Curtainside, Flatbed, Tanker, Trunking, Distribution and General Haulage.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Category C / Class 2 licence for a minimum of 1 year
• Previous commercial HGV Class 2 driving experience
• Multi-drop pallet experience essential
• Valid Driver CPC / DQC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No DD / DR / DG / IN endorsement codes
• Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and WTD
• Good knowledge of Southampton and surrounding areas
• Reliable, flexible and hardworking attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a transport team
