Job summary

SRG Recruitment is seeking experienced Class 2/HGV2 drivers for a Portsmouth area client. The role covers 7.5 tonne multi-drop pallet deliveries, loading/unloading, securing loads, and delivering on planned routes with daily vehicle checks.

Applicants should have a valid Category C / Class 2 licence with at least 1 year experience, and be comfortable with paperwork and customer-facing duties. Opportunities include regular work and flexible shifts.

Job description

CLASS 2 / 7.5 TONNE MULTI-DROP DRIVERS - PORTSMOUTH
SRG Recruitment are seeking experienced LGV / HGV Class 2 / 7.5 Tonne Multi-Drop Drivers for a client based in the Portsmouth area.
The role will mainly involve multi-drop deliveries of palletised goods, using an electric or manual pump truck. Some strapping and securing of loads may also be required. Previous experience with multi-drop pallet deliveries is essential.
We are also interested in speaking with Class 2 drivers from a range of backgrounds, including Multi-Drop, Skip Driver, Tipper Driver, Waste Driver, HIAB Driver, Hook Loader, Grab Driver, Curtainside, Flatbed, Tanker, Trunking, Distribution and General Haulage experience.
Drivers must be comfortable with loading and unloading, securing loads, completing delivery paperwork and dealing professionally with customers. Good knowledge of the local area and experience working to delivery schedules would be advantageous.

REQUIREMENTS

  Valid Driver CPC / DQC
• 
  Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• 
  No DD / DR / DG / IN endorsement codes
• 
  Good knowledge of Drivers' Hours and WTD
• 
  Good knowledge of the local area
• 
  Reliable, flexible and hardworking attitude
• 
  Good communication and customer service skills
• 
  Able to work independently and as part of a transport team
