Job summary

Jewson is looking for an Area HGV Class 2 Driver to deliver building materials to customers from the Rotherham branch, with HIAB training provided. The role involves loading, unloading, crane operation, and team support across a cluster including Sheffield and Barnsley.

You will cover absences in a designated area, with varied daily drops and routes. Suitable candidates will hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, and Digi Tachograph card. Training and progression available.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence plus CPC and Digi Tachograph card.
• Multidrop experience is handy but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver building materials to customers with a professional approach.
• Load and unload goods, operate the crane, and assist teammates as needed.
• Cover absence within a designated Area, assigned to Jewson Rotherham and nearby branches (Sheffield, Barnsley).
• Follow routes, maintain safety standards, and ensure customer satisfaction.

What to expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area.

You will be assigned to our Jewson Rotherham branch and required to cover a cluster of branches. These branches are; Sheffield and Barnsley

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it’s not a necessity
