Job summary

PS LTD is recruiting Class 2 drivers for a full-time, permanent role out of Newton Aycliffe (DL5). Roles include 2 day runs and a night-out option, delivering 2–4 stops per shift with an allocated vehicle. PPE provided after 2 weeks.

Own vehicle is provided to the driver. Weekly pay at £16.70 per hour. Requirements include a valid Class 2 licence, CPC and Digi card, and a minimum of one year driving experience.

• Driver CPC and Digi card valid.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 2 HGV lorry ensuring compliance with all road safety regulations and company policies.
• Execute delivery routes efficiently, ensuring timely collection and drop-off of goods.
• Secure loads properly on the flatbed, adhering to safety standards to prevent damage or accidents during transit.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs as required by company procedures - this is typically via their internal app.
• Communicate effectively with transport team regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.

Job description

PS LTD are recruiting for Class 2 drivers to work on a full time permanent contract out of Newton Aycliffe (DL5). We are recruiting 3 permanent drivers to work Monday to Friday. We have 2 day run vacancies and 1 vacancy that requires 1-2 nights out a week. You will be working on a kitchen carcass delivery contract making 2-4 delivers per shift. You will also be allocated your own vehicle.
