Job summary

Igloo Ltd is recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join a busy waste management operation in Kendal, Cumbria. You will drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle on scheduled routes and assist the crew to complete daily collections safely and efficiently.

Newly qualified drivers are welcome. You need a UK Class 2 licence, CPC and Digi Tacho Card. Weekly pay and ongoing work are offered; depots across Penrith, Carlisle, Kendal and surrounding areas are covered.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence is required.
• CPC certification and Digi Tacho Card are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle on scheduled routes.
• Assist crew to complete daily collections.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Follow health & safety regulations and maintain professional service.
• Support other depots when required.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join a busy waste management operation across multiple locations in Kendal, Cumbria.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced drivers and newly qualified Class 2 drivers looking to gain experience within a stable, long-term role.

The Role:

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Driving a Class 2 refuse vehicle on scheduled collection routes
• Working alongside the crew to complete daily collections efficiently
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects where required
• Following all road transport and health & safety regulations
• Providing a professional and reliable service at all times
• Supporting other depot locations when required

The Person:

• Full UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho Card
• Newly qualified drivers are welcome
• No more than 6 points for minor offences
• Minimum age of 21 for insurance purposes
• Reliable with a good work ethic
