Job summary

Igloo Ltd in Penrith is recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for a busy waste management operation across multiple depots. This is a stable, long-term role suitable for experienced drivers and those newly qualified seeking hands-on experience.

As a Class 2 Driver you will operate a refuse vehicle on scheduled routes, assist the crew, carry out vehicle checks, and comply with safety regulations while delivering a professional service. Travel to cover other depots as required.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 2 Licence (Category C) required.
• CPC and Digi Tacho Card required.
• Newly qualified drivers welcome.
• No more than 6 points for minor offences.
• Minimum age of 21 for insurance purposes.
• Reliable with a good work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 refuse vehicle on scheduled routes.
• Work with the crew to complete daily collections.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Follow all road transport and health & safety regulations.
• Provide a professional and reliable service at all times.
• Support other depot locations when required.
