Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd in Market Harborough is recruiting a HGV Class 2 driver for regular, temporary work four days per week, with no weekend shifts. You will support on allocated routes, transporting waste to disposal points and may partake in winter duties such as salting and gritting. New pass drivers are welcome, with a pathway to a permanent role.

Location: Market Harborough, Leicestershire. Hours: Tue–Fri, from 06:30, up to 40 hours weekly. Reference: 186820. Closing Date: 20261123.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving licence with Cat C qualification.
• Digi Card.
• CPC card.
• Knowledge of the local area.
• No more than 6 points on your licence.
• Be looking for work with an immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 vehicle on allocated routes in Market Harborough area.
• Transport all collected waste to a notified disposal point.
• Assist in winter emergency work such as salting and gritting roads or snow/ice removal when required.
• Complete on-site driving induction and potential progression toward a permanent position.

Job Description

Are you a HGV Class 2 driver looking for regular work 4 days per week with NO weekends?
You will be supporting our client in the Market Harborough area driving the class 2 vehicle.
This role will involve working as part of a team on allocated routes. You will transport all collected waste to a notified disposal point.
You may also be required in the winter months to assist in the winter emergency work such as salting and gritting roads or removal snow and ice. New pass drivers are welcome to apply. You will complete an on site driving induction and have the opportunity to work towards a permanent position.

Duration: Long-term and ongoing work available with the opportunity to gain a permanent contract.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: You will be paid £15.17 per hour for this driving role.You will also accrue 28 days holiday per year pro rata.

Working Hours: Working days are Tuesday to Friday, starting from 06:30 daily. You can expect to work up to 40 hours per week.
