Job summary

GAP Hire Solutions is recruiting for an HGV Driver within our nationwide Non Mechanical division. You will load, deliver and collect equipment to customer sites across the UK, conduct on-site hires demonstrations where required, and complete all hire administration accurately and promptly.

The role demands a Class 2 licence with Driver CPC (35 hours) and a strong commitment to health and safety, together with excellent customer service and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proven experience loading, delivering and collecting equipment on HGV.
• Hold a Class 2 driving licence with Driver CPC and valid Tachograph card.
• Understanding of Health & Safety protocols and compliance.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Load, deliver and collect equipment to and from customer sites.
• Operate in a timely and professional manner while complying with the law.
• On client sites, conduct hire equipment demonstrations as required.
• Complete hire administration and checks accurately.

The Role

Our nationwide Non Mechanical division hire a range of equipment including crowd control barriers, scaffolding and road plates to the events industry alongside our more traditional business sectors within the construction, utilities, and infrastructure sectors.

The role of the HGV Driver involves loading, delivering and collecting equipment to and from customer sites in a timely and professional manner whilst driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times. When on customer sites, there may be a requirement to carry out hire equipment demonstration and the HGV Driver must ensure that all relevant checks and administration involved for the hire are completed accurately.

About You

• Significant experience working within an HGV driving role loading, delivering and collecting equipment from customer sites is essential
• Class 2 driving licence, Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed and valid Digital Tachograph card
• An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
• Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail
